Objective

Reimagine the AEG digital exprience for both B2B as well as B2C opportunities with a mobile-first solution. Create multiple template types to be used across the site experience to create efficiency and consistency across the AEG products. The majority of the project will be focused on the directory of their different business categories and services.

Efficient Product Development

When evaluating the AEG site, we realized there was a large amount of content that needed to be migrated to the new expereince. To save time and money on resources for the client and still deliver a complete redesign of their UX and UI, we observed areas where we can utilize flexible template solutions for iterating on redudent content types such as properties, news, etc. This approach lowered costs for the client, sped up design deliverables and made the approval process much quicker.

Real Estate Directory

A large avenue of business for AEG is it's commercial real estate sector. They own and manage hundreds of locations all over the world. That being said, there needed to be an easy way to browse property types, location and view the detai pages of each. Sounds like a lot of work, but by creating a templated solution for landing and detail pages, it made for a much more intuitive user flow. Another tall task of this directory-like expereince was making sure it was thought out in terms of mobile-first engagment.

Visual Design

When it came time to starting on the UI, I was excited. AEG has amazing quality content from all of the different sports and entertainment from around the world and it played nicely with the large content blocks we laid out for the foundation of this site. We really wanted to capture the excitement of the brand and all of their business, something that the old site lacked.

Interactive UI

While going through the design process with AEG, they decided they would like to include a large interactive map that is contextual to specific categories of their real estate. This feature proved to be challenging through APIs, load times, scrolling and accuracy. However, with constant design oversite and iteration, we delivered an interactive map solution great for both desktop and mobile.

Mobile-first Entertainment

With all of the stunning content from AEG, we really wanted to merge functionality, interactions and content into a seamless mobile environement. This was accomplished by using large full-screen hero images, larger image thumbnails as call-to-actions as well as contectual video content to make it a fun digital touchpoint for the AEG brand.
